Band Biography »

With an onslaught of layered melodic metal with unexpected twists and turns, and sophisticated structures Societys Plague has earned respect and fans throughout the Kentucky area, and now worldwide with the release of their debut album “The Human, The Canvas”.

In 2009 the band released their debut EP “The Mercy Untold” with great success , the bands recognition started escalating. Vigorous live performances helped the band to set up several regional tours, and play with, In Flames, Killswitch Engage, Unearth and Chimaira.

Upon entering Spider Studios (Cleveland, Ohio), the band inked a deal with Stand and Deliver Records. The band recorded their debut album with famed producers Ben Schigel and Tony Gammalo which have worked with artists such as: Drowning Pool, Chimaira, It Dies Today, and Walls of Jericho.

Alan Douches from West West Side Music took care of the final touches during the mastering process. (Alan Douches credits: Nile, Mastodon, Everytime I Die, Shadows Fall, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Superjoint Ritual, and Hatebreed.)

The 2010 release of “The Human, The Canvas” is undoubtedly a huge step forward for the band. With all the pieces in place you can be certain that Society’s Plague will be tearing up stages and moving bodies nationwide.

Society’s Plague has played with the likes of many of today’s biggest metal bands including: Disturbed, Killswitch Engage , In Flames, Chimaira, Lacuna Coil, Unearth and many more.
